In this course students are able to express themselves in writing from a clear point of view on a wide range of topics from the Topics list for the second year;they are able to write different types of essays such as compare-contrast, cause and effect,emphasising decisive points and including supporting details;they are able to write summaries of articles on topics of general and special interest; they are able to write letters and reports highlighting the personal significance of events and experiences;they are able to write short reviews of a film or a book;
they are able to produce a piece of creative writing such as stories, poems, plays; they have acquired understanding of and had practice in writing as a process of drafting, self and peer editing and evaluation.
